Smart System Overview
ATMOX Smart System offers controlled ventilation of crawlspace with enhanced monitoring along with great flexibility in choice, setup and configuration of fans. The ATMOX Smart Control is placed in the garage or inside your home allowing you to easily see that data being measured from your crawlspace and alert you to any problems. The Smart System is perfect for crawlspaces with unique layouts or fan needs as it can incorporate ATMOX DC-Powered Fans or AC-Powered Fans as well as specialty fans made by another manufacturer if needed.
ATMOX Fans
The ATMOX Smart Controls direct the operation of the external fans to run only when "good" air is available. Any type of AC-Powered or DC-Powered Fans can be used as needed. Depending on setup, the ATMOX Smart System has the added control feature allowing for internal or joist mounted fans to run under different scenarios such as only with external fans, only when dehumidifier runs or when either external fans or dehumidifier run. This can improve effectiveness of a dehumidifier and keep air from getting stagnant underneath crawlspace even when external conditions are not optimal.
Dehumidifiers
The ATMOX Smart System can be supplemented with a dehumidifier to address those periodic peak levels of humidity that cannot be solved with outside dry air alone. (Most crawlspaces in most geographic areas do not need to incorporate a dehumidifier with the system.) With the Smart System, there is an indicator light on the control panel, letting you know when the system has switched on a dehumidifier.
The goal of the ATMOX Systems is to use fans for improvement of conditions . An optional dehumidifier will only be used in a critical situation, if needed. The rationale is that fresh dry air in the crawlspace is a good thing avoiding musty odors. It is also much more energy efficient and therefore cost effective to use ventilation from fans to reduce moisture over the use of a dehumidifier.
Smart System Monitoring Options
The benefit of the ATMOX Smart System is the enhanced monitoring and alarm notifications. These optional sensors can truly enhance the performance of what the ATMOX System can do for your home.
- Wood Moisture Sensor
- Monitor wood moisture to detect any crisis situations in humidity levels
- Water Sensor
- Get an alarm in case of backup to sump pumps or other condensate lines. Can use more than one water sensor
- Carbon Monoxide Sensor
- Get an alarm and run fans to exhaust carbon monoxide from the crawlspace
- Smoke Alarm Attachment
- Get an alarm and make sure fans stop to avoid extra air coming into the crawlspace
Pipe Heating System
ATMOX Smart System has the capability to incorporate an independent pipe heating system with the controls. The Controls will direct the operation of a pipe heating system under freeze warning conditions. (Pipe Heaters are not sold by ATMOX.)
