Mold Concerns - Prevention of Mold
  • As stated earlier, mold needs moisture, a nutrient and warmth to grow. Without these factors, mold will not be present.
  • In a crawlspace, the nutrient exists everywhere with wood, dust and other building materials. The temperature will rise above 32 degrees over the course of the year. Neither of these two factors can be excluded. Only moisture in the crawlspace can be controlled.
  • Mold will not be able to grow without water or moisture.
  • Even after an expensive mold remediation, without eliminating further moisture in a crawlspace, the problem may still exist and mold could grow back again quickly.
  • It is important to solve the source of the problem (water and moisture) and not just cleanup the effect of the problem (mold).
  • By installing the ATMOX system in the crawlspace, moisture levels can be controlled. This should mitigate the ability for mold to grow further.
